he knits

it’s friday.  yeah.

things are fabulously sunny

and the place is crawling with kids.

me? i’m finishing up a second hat for soldiers overseas

(one skein of cascade 220 superwash makes two caps).

caught this clip and thought it was ever so appropriate.

i’m all bare toes in birks in my backyard

sitting next to my ever ready supply of gum and band-aids (both for the kids),

so a little cary grant class is just what the afternoon was lacking.

(note video goes silent from :49 to 1:21.  no worries, all the rest has sound.)

want to pitch in yourself?

check out my friends’ efforts at ‘fill a hat, fill a heart’ on facebook.

‘lacking taken from 4:27 of first kings.

  1. What a worthy cause, knitting for the troops! I’ve saved the rav site, but likely won’t knit for the group as shipping is so costly. I’ve stopped swapping for the same reason, and we’ve cut way back on gifts within the family because of this. It’s sad, really. But I could donate some shipping money to the group. That would make me feel happy. I knit and crochet hats, and this year, neck gaiters, for the church food bank and the Hope Centre, to give to people who need them. This is my church service project. 🙂 Knit on my friend! You’ll make a serviceman or woman very happy and cared about.
