in the eyes of the beholder

snow.

we’ve got it,

and me, i’m not much of a winter type.

IMG_3516altbut i do like tire treads in the snow.

maybe it’s because they look so three dimensional,

or because the winter sun reflecting off them is so, well, cool.

IMG_3509altdon’t they look like cables and twisted stitches to you?

IMG_3508altok, maybe it’s just me.

i’m good with that, because they make me smile.

sometimes that’s enough.

‘snow’ taken from 147:16 in the psalms.

  1. I love the tire tracks, and the designs my boots make in the snow. This winter I’ve been enjoying the rabbit tracks on our front lawn. There’s a sweet little brown rabbit wintering under our shrubs in front, right up against the house. Every night when I walk the dogs I see the tracks from its day’s adventure. 🙂 I’ll think about the tire tracks differently now that you’ve pointed out the cables and twisted stitches!

  2. rabbit tracks sound fun to see. i like the little v’s made by birdie feet, too. there are always lots of birds to leave prints just outside my parent’s kitchen windows. i like footprints left in the sand, too, but those don’t make me think of knitting, just long walks on the beach.
