the stall

so a few deep breaths,

a momentary attack of panic,

and some

high speed problem solving later,

i talked her into this as a Christmas hat.

actually finished knitting it for me

recently, so it was ‘brand new’

to her sweet little self.

effectively bought myself time

to figure out how to properly knit

the hat she really wants.

as far as i can tell this dream hat:

1. is thrummed

2. has ear flaps

3. is topped with fuzzy kitty ears.

362 days to go till deadline…

‘properly’ taken from 1:8 in first timothy.

  1. You can do it!!! How about thrumming a kitty hat pattern fit for an adult,so it will fit a smaller head, and adding earflaps (or beginning with them) like I’ve seen in many patterns. Should be easily doable! Thick yarn? 🙂 She’s adorable. And the hat is great!

  2. never have thrummed. not sure even where to start. must look into it. good idea to find an adult kitty hat and thrum it. i just have to remember that if she has one, her big sister is gonna want one, too. and then the boys will want to have bear hats or something. good thing i have almost a whole year to figure it out!
