transfixed

after taking pics of two new patterns

(you’ll get to see them soon)

my friend wendy and i drove around a bit

just to see

whatever could be seen.

we found a little park neither of us knew existed

parked the car, and took a walk into the birdsong filled air

under the trees.

i tend to get drawn into the fine details of things

like leaves

IMG_0026urb83and water bubbles

IMG_0031urb83and moss on the north side of the trees.

IMG_0039urb83when i finally got around to looking up to get my bearings,

my jaw dropped

because there was this.

IMG_0022urb83it’s less than ten minutes by car from my house,

the very house i grew up in,

and i never knew

wow.

‘grew’ taken from 16:21 of exodus.

  1. I love how your photos hone in on details. 🙂 I’ve never tried to photograph water like you have. It’s fascinating!

    • i do like the little bits that things are made up of. when i saw that little stream of water by the pond making bubbles, that drew me right in. that said though, i’m really no good at the overall picture of big things whether that be scenery or planning for the future. give me the little pieces of today and i do best.

  2. It’s the special discoveries that bring joy to life! And so do details…many never see either one!
